Ironing Out A Few Things....

Having just completed my first new build there are 1 or 2 niggling things. The specs of my new build are in my sig. the first problem I am having is with my IDE HDD cable. No matterwhich way around I daisy chain the IDE HDDs the cable always becomes twisted. Apart from looking ugly with a kink in it, I was wondering what the long term effects of having a ribbon cable like this and is there a cable out there that could deal with a problem like this? The second poser is audio based. What reasonably priced sound card should I go for? and is there an xFi card for under £100 ($180ish) that comes with a 5.25" bay controller?

You can get round IDE cables that do away with the twists and kinks. As long as it's not twisted too severely, though, there aren't any bad consequences when a flat IDE cable is twisted.

The Creative X-Fi Platinum comes with a front bay controller. Overclockers has it for £105 before VAT.
