Buy 939 or wait for AM2 ?
Ok well the title kinda says it all, but im thinking about buying a new processor and i was wondering whether i should wait for the socket AM2 AMD processors to come out (fx62, 5000+, etc.), or should i go ahead and get a sockt 939 processor like the fx60?

by the processors you listed, i am assuming you are waiting for those specific ones (fx62, 5000+). a few AM2 processors are already out and can be purchased at newegg, zipzoomfly and the like. the ones you listed, however, are not on those sites.
a lot of people around here will tell you if you wait for the next great thing you will be waiting forever. i am not a fan of adopting early (ie 1st gen). i like to wait for the bugs to get worked out before buying something honestly, tho, its all personal preferences. if it were me, i would go ahead and get a 939 because systems last me long enough to not worry about the fact that there is something newer to make this obsolete. edit: take a look at this thread: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=159600 - you're best upgrade path will def be am2, so if you need that, thats what you will probably want to go with craig
