Internal USB Device Errors
Hello,
I've been running into a brick wall when attempting to install my internal-USB devices. Here is the system: Intel Pentium-D 930 Presler Asus P5LD2 945P (2/06 BIOS) Seagate 160GB SATA HDD Corsair VSRAM 512x2 DDR2-533 XClio GoodPower 500W PSU Lite-On Combo Drive Mistumi Floppy/Card Reader CoolerMaster Centurion 5 When booting up without any of the USB devices plugged in (card reader and the front-panel USB plugins), the entire system makes it to the Windows environment without a hitch. However, when I plugged in the Card Reader portion of the drive and the front panel USB connector, I am hit with a AMI BIOS error right after the "IDE check" stating: USB Device Over Current Status Detected!!! System will shut down in 15 seconds.... Then the system shuts down after about 15 seconds. I've tried two different versions of BIOSes (2/06, 1/06). I have reset the CMOS as well to no avail. Any ideas on how I could get the USB Devices working? Thanks. kram

Try them one device at a time. Possibly one of the usb devices is defective. Try to isolate it to one device.

Yep - I've tried to boot with them seperately and on different USB slots, with the same result.
