20-pin PSU connector to 24-pin mobo possible?

Hello. I am buying a new mobo and cpu. Of course I want to use all of the parts I currently have, including my FSP PSU (20-pin). I would like to get a mobo that has at least 1 pci-express slot, but all of the mobos that have one have 24-pin connectors. Is there an adapter, or a way to use my current 20-pin PSU with a 24-pin mobo?

Also, a little advice on which mobo/cpu (possible combo) to buy. I'd like a mobo with at least 1 pci-express, at least 2 sata ports (but still have pata), and a 4/8X AGP slot to accommodate my current graphics adapter. For a processor, I'd like to at least break the 2.0 GHz barrier. I am interested only in AMDs (Athlon/Sempron). And, I'd like to accomplish this for less than $150.00. Any ideas? Brands? Where to buy (NewEgg?)?

Thanks.

I would seriously advise against using a 20 to 24 pin PSU adaptor. Although FSP make quality units, those extra 4 pins are there for a reason on PCI-Express boards. A 450w or more ATX2 Power Supply comes highly recommended for PCI-E systems.

There really aren't any quality motherboards that have both a PCI-E and AGP slot; the one that mdehart refers to is the best of a poor bunch. If you can't afford a PCI-E card now, then I'd recommend purchasing a quality motherboard with on-board video, and a PCI-E slot for when you can upgrade, such as this one:

The AMD Athlon 64 3000+ is the cheapest socket 939 processor at present.

Which thread do you want closed? This one or that one? (recommendation is to save some more money, you need to upgrade more than just the CPU and motherboard to avoid another dead end).

Closing this one, as you have asked another question in the other one.
