I also wanted to stay around $1500. I am not sure about the case selection and power supply. Do I need a sound card? This is my first pc build please let me know what you think about my selections. I am new to this and I would appreciate any and all comments. Thank you all in advance! |

Welcome to PCM.
Your build list looks fine. The only thing to change is the ram. You only need DDR2-533 for that CPU. Anything higher is overkill if you are not overclocking. I would skip the sound card for now. Onboard sound is adequate for most people. You can always pick one up later if you decide onboard is lacking. Your power supply is excellent. Don't forget Windows XP. |
