Problem with CMOS

Im a complete newb and i just purchased my first barebone kit w/ intel mobo D945PVS i got a celeron D 3.33 ghz processor Ive got one Maxtor 300gb HD and one 160gb HD I dont have a floppy but i do have a memorex DVD/DVDRW drive I also have a radeon 7000 graphics card. I installed everything properly (or so I believe) and all is running smoothly and i get to the main monitor screen unfortunately (ive been reading pcmech how to build a pc - when i get to the CMOS config and BIOS config steps I get stuck.) I can get to the BIOS screen however Im trying for it to recognize my drives (and follow the steps to config my CMOS) and I cant get to those config screens can someone help?
