New Build Troubles
Here is what I have currently connected:
ASUS A8R-MVP AMD Athlon 64 3200+ ATI Radeon X1800XT PCIE 512MB 2x Crucial 512 MB DDR400 PC3200 Fortron AX400-PN 400-Watt Power Supply I've tried removing everything from the case and setting the board up on a table top, and have checked all the connections several times, as recomended in the above sticky. However, when I turn everything on the green LED on the board lights up and all the fans activate.... but my monitor still shows "no signal." There are no beeps from the board and I've already tried resetting the CMOS. I think I've got a faulty part somewhere but have no way to check, none of these parts will fit any other computer I own. Should I just take the board in and have it checked at a repair store? That's all I can think to do at this point. |

Do you have another graphics card and/or monitor that you can test on?

Ok, couple of dumb questions (not intended to insult your intelligence ). Did you use a small screwdriver to short the Power switch pins together on the mobo? Simply turning on the power supply with the I-O switch does not power up the pc.Does your mobo have a 4 pin (2 x 2) 12v connector near the cpu? Did you plug in the appropriate connector there? Is your power supply a 24 pin or are you using a 20 pin with an adapter? Does your video card have it's own power connector? If so, have you plugged in the appropriate connector from the psu? These are all things that have caused problems for others so we may as well get these possibilities out of the way. |

I'm having the exact same problem with the PC I just got and put together today. The fans run, but nothing else works.
My mobo does have a 4 pin (2 x 2) 12v connector near the cpu, but it also has a 24 pin connector. When I tried plugging the 4 pin connector in, there was no power at all, so I moved it back to beside the 20 pin connector where at least the power indicator works. I haven't tried taking the mobo out of the case and tripping the power connector yet to see if it works outside the case, but I will as soon as I have time. |

Well, Green the Graphics Card requires a power adapter because I have that same card in my new system(even though it screwed up it still showed stuff for about 30 seconds.) You have to connect one end into the Harddrive, and one end into the CD/Drive or a 4 Pin connector. It should work then. The connect should be a 6-in and should've campe with your graphics card.
