I was having problems with my barebones build but finally got it running. Loaded Win XP Pro, got my Dlink wireless up and running, downloaded and installed AVG, Ewido, Firefox. After using it for a while, I noticed my DVD RW wasn't showing up in My Computer so I rebooted and went into BIOS - no DVD RW there either - my SATA drive was running on IDE channel 2? Thought that I should reset the CMOS and try to set it all up again - set the jumper to clear CMOS and now nothing at all - no POST, no beep and not able to get into BIOS - fans and harddrive seem to be firing up but going nowhere. Any ideas where to go from here - I am debating taking it all back to Tigerdirect before my 30 days are up but I would really like to resolve it - just don't know what to try next.

Just to get the dumb question out of the way first, you did move the jumper back to the standard position right?

First thing I checked because it is the sort of thing I would do!

In the future, do not use the jumper to clear CMOS without removing the power cord from the computer.

Thanks glc, I will keep that in mind. The instructions from Abit did not mention that - what does it do leaving the power cord in?
