fans spin for a second then nothing
Hi, i just bought a 9800se off ebay put it in my pc and was working perfectly fine, well yesterday i felt it was over heating so i pulled it out and added a fan to it put it back in then i turn on my pc, and see random white lines and yellow dots. so i shut down quickly remove the video card and put an old MX4000 and try to boot but all i get is a brief spin from the fans then the computer dies. So i replaced the power supply and still nothing, i pulled it out of the case and still the same thing happens, what do you think happened? did i fry the mobo?
Edit: my specs are: sempron64 2600+ @ 2.4ghz Biostar NF3-754 9800se sapphire 400 watt silenx psu 512mb generic ram (2*256) 100gb wd hdd and i did try reseting cmos and removing the cmos battery. and thanks G-dogg Last edited by g-dogg; 06-12-2006 at 10:38 AM. |

Sounds like you may have.
Use the jumper to reset the cmos - this will remove the overclock. Try another out of the case. http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409 |

i just rma'ed the board. Newegg is the best really, after using the board for 8 month they accepted the board even though i told them i might have fried it. Great company, really.
