1st build - will this work?
This is my first build. I will be using it for everything but I will also be doing some gaming on it. My main question is whether this setup will work. Also, if anyone has any suggestions, they would be appreciated. This is the build -

looks decent enough... except for the graphic card. id get a full 7900GT, and have it 256bit, even tho it costs a bit more, it'll last you longer, especially for your side dish of gaming.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130281 but its 270, about a 100 more but it'll last you awhile... but yea go with what u believe, i dont kno your budget.

HDD: Get one with 16Mb cache
Ram: Check the QVL at Asus or use the Corsair configurator to be sure that you order a compatible part number. Floppy Drive: Might be needed during setup. OS: The OEM version of XP will be fine Unless you need some specific feature of XP Pro or want the Media Center Edition. Video Card: Depends on what games you want to play, The 7600 might be sufficient.
