What brand of power supply is it and do you have another you can test your new machine with?

It was something cheap bougth it with the case . I don't have any other PS
When I plug it in and connect only a case fan, shouldn't work? The PS fans spinning and the case fan working?

Dump the power supply immeadiately.
Your just one step away from having the power supply go and take your components with it.
If you decide to send it to a computer shop you tell the tech about the power supply noise before he tries testing anything.
The guy really doesn't want to be the one who plugged it in and blew everything to kingdom come.

What happens when you hit the power button? Do the fans start to spin and the LEDs come on or does the system just sit there dead?

Is the motherboard in or out of the case right now?

I thought you replaced the original power supply.

How are you trying to turn on the computer? With the power button? Are you sure the power button is connected to the correct pins on the motherboard?

Do you have all necessary power connectors connected to the motherboard?
