Question First Build

Well, last time I tried upgrading my computer I got problem after problem. So, I am going to make a computer from the ground up this time and I have been looking at parts since Friday afternoon. Since it is now Saturday and companies do not process orders now, I thought I would double check with you guys. My budget is around or in the 1000's but please keep in mind that I am excluding the monitor and some other stuff, which I think will be about $300 after rebate.

This P.C. is mainly for gaming.

So here it is , any feedback is appreciated, I would like to know if there are any compatibility issues, if I should get different parts, and how much money do you think I would be saving by making this setup instead of buying it from a store:

The subtotal is a little over 600 and with tax itll reach about 700 u.s. dollars.

* Please note that this is a copy and paste from a printable shopping cart with slight modifications

Rebadged Coolmax PSU - I wouldn't trust it.

I would be VERY tempted to spend the extra 50 bucks for a 930 processor - faster FSB and twice the cache.

Thanks alot. I think I will go for that 930.

As for the Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W Power Supply, is it just not a trustworthy company? I dont remember seeing too many bad reviews about that power supply. Which company should I trust with PSUs?

Rosewill rebadges power supplies. They don't manufacture them. So its a gamble if they are any good, usually not.

Check out our in-house list: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195 Antec is a great choice.

Yep - you can't go wrong with an Antec TPII-550. Costs a bit more but it's known solid.

How about this PSU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103437

The reviews were awsome and Enermax was one of the tops on this list:

I also think I should change my ram; it is really cheap for 2gb of dual ram, I dont think I should depend on it. Here is the ram I wanted to order:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820141017

Looking for a different one now.

Edit: I got a new ram, two of em:

pqi POWER Series 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory

Its only 1GB but I ordered 2. Itll fill up my mother board but its fine, it was very affordable.

That Enermax will be fine, but save $20 and pick up this Antec instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103931

Actually the Enermax is not true ATX 2.0, and it only has a single +12v rail - a monster, but only one.
