Video card fan runs, NO PICTURE
I have a gigabyte 8knxp ultra mobo, a p4 3.0, 1 gb of ddr ram, assorted sata hds and 2 optical drives. I dont use any pci components, i use all of the supplied components that came with my motherboard. my graphics card is a radeon 9800 pro.
I was running fine until i decided to install a new heatsink and fan. i had to completely disconnected my motherboard. now, after putting it all back together, i get no picture from my video card. i know the card works, ive tested it in another computer. ive also tested a different graphics card in my computer and it still gets no picture, so i know that the problem must be on the motherboard end. the fan on the graphics card works, so i know power is being supplied to it. i am assuming that i either toasted my agp slot somehow or i missed a wire somewhere. I did not touch any jumpers, and the motherboard is screwed into the case in every location so it must be grounded properly. the only things that i had to disconnect were the wires that connect the supplied usb, optical and coaxial audio, and firewire ports to my mobo. if anyone has any suggestions, it would be nice |

Make sure all the power connectors are plugged in. That is, a 20 or 24 pin ATX power supply, as well as a 12V (2 by 2 block) alternate power supply, which is located near the CPU.

I just finished a build this week where I had the same problem. In my case, the CPU was not seated after the installation. It looked fine, but was not in *exactly* as it should have been. Though it may not be your exact problem, it was mine. Everything powered up, but there was no pic. Follow Cricket's link, and you'll be able to isolate the problem, but since you say the card works in another PC, it sounds like something isn't seated properly, be it your RAM, CPU, etc.
