Smile Wiring Diagram

This is my first build, I decided to take a shortcut and purchase a barebones system, part # A455-2112 F. From www.TigerDirect.com I was quite surprised to get the case in one box and all the other components in another box. I thought it would come assembled. My fault, further (Much further) down after the items arrived, I saw the note that it was not assembled.

I installed the power supply, the motherboard with the CPU and Cooling fan and the 2 memory chips. The problem that I am having, is locating the correct sockets for all the connecting wires.

I went over the PCMECH “Build your own Computer Manual” which gives a very skimpy explanation of where the wires go and the ASUS manual which is only a Diagram showing the layout. So far I am unable to make sense of either of the 2 manuals.

Here is a list of my parts.

(1) Asus A8N SLI Deluxe NVIDIA Socket 939 Motherboard / PCI Express / Audio / Dual Gigabit LAN / SLI / Serial ATA / Dual RAID / USB 2.0 & Firewire / (1) Masscool / Socket 754, 939, 940 / AMD Athlon 64 / Ball Bearing / CPU Cooling Fan / (1) AMD Athlon 64 3500+ ClawHammer Socket 939 CPU / (2) Ultra 512MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz CL3 Memory / (1) Premium 2531 Blue ATX Mid-Tower Case with Clear Side, Front USB and Audio Ports / (1) Ultra / X-Finity / 500-Watt / ATX / 120mm Fan / SATA-Ready / SLI-Ready / Titanium Blue / Power Supply

Is there a better diagram of where the wires go? Thanks David

It is going to be specific to your motherboard, so just study that manual a bit closer and it will come to you

Which wires, and which sockets? You must make that clear so we can help you

I believe ktkendall (and I as well) is assuming that you are talking about the front panel LCD wires, which look a bit like these:

Is that what you are confused about? In which case, the manual will provide all the information necessary to plug them in. If you need help, of course, we will be here

Thank you for taking the time to answer my post. I have been over the manuals a few times so far, now from what you say, I should be able to figure it out. I'll try, Thanks again Mentordas
