First Build

Hi I am looking to try and build a top of the range gaming PC but i have a limited budget of $1000 - $2000, i am not sure what i should go with intel or amd for the build i am hoping that the pc will be able to last for a few years any suggestions would be welcome.

Both Intel and AMD will do what you want very well. I would suggest either going with a AMD Socket 939 build now, or waiting a month and go with Intel's Core 2 Duo (Conroe). You should be able to build a lasting PC with that budget range.

with that budget you can build a good pc that will last a long time
