Can you go ahead and list the wishlist? I'm getting "Wishlist is empty".

I don't see a motherboard listed.

If the case comes with an Antec 500w, why add the 510w PSU?

Do you need Windows XP x64?

Looks dandy with the exception of the motherboard missing. I think the power supply is overkill.

Do you really want a notebook mouse for a desktop? They tend to be smaller that normal mice.

Not sure if ECC RAM is totally necessary, but need to find out the motherboard first.

BTW, the first link just linked to my wish list(s) at Newegg. If you want it viewable, you'll have to make it public.

Although I cannot point you in any specific direction, the one you linked is for a Socket 940 Opteron. You need a Socket 939 board that can accept AMD Opterons.

According to the Item Number for the Opteron in your first post, it is a 939: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16819103584

For the Tyan socket 940 board, you would need this CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103552

sorry about that.
i'm going with the 940 opteron and the 940 mobo.
i apologize for the confusion. i put together that list at about 2am....i kept switching things out.
i looked at boxx technologies and priced one from them and it was over 5 grand, i'm getting much more for less via newegg....thanks for the help

one other question, if i went with win xp (32 bit) will it recognize more than 2gb ram....

If you aren't doing a raid setup, you can switch that RE (raid edition) hard drive to another 16Mb cache SE.
XP 32 bit will take up to 4Gb of ram, but can't address all of it.
How much will be addressed will depend on the amount it allocates for various system functions, and the hardware configuration. I would guesstimate around 2 3/4 to 3 1/4 max addressable.

In general, Windows XP 32-bit can address up to around 3GB of memory, give or take. Unless you have and are using a number of integrated devices, the amount of memory that the operating system can address is very nearly the same as the total amount of memory in the slots.
