New gaming rig--NEED HELP SELECTING PARTS

I am trying to build a new gaming rig, but do not know how to get the best performance for my dollar. With a budget of about $2000, I would like the system to use an inexpensive graphics card, like <$250, and no extra cooling. I will be upgrading to DX10 when it comes out and will wait to see my temperatures before buying cooling (I may go with a large water cooling setup so please make sure the case is big enough). This system will be used for gaming/school projects so must be fast and stable, but I will OC. This budget is only for the box only, since i have already picked out the other pieces. I would like to go dual-core AM2, 2gb RAM, single GPU, and under $100 spent on HDD. Thanks in advance for your help.
