Angry Can't get OS to run

I am posting this because i have built a computer recently and it was my first. It is an
Asus k8n sli deluxe
AMD 4400 dual core
2G RAM corsair
eVGA GeForce 7900 GTX 512MB
Lite-on DVD and DVD Burner
500GB sata maxtor HD

i can get trhouhgh the BIOS and it picks everything up nice but when i try and run my OS which is Windows XP it wont do anything it pops up with a blue screen that says windows setup at the top left but then it just sits there not doing anything no blicking lites no running nothing does anyone having anything that can help me in this problem and thanks in advance

Is the hard d rive working? If windows won't load then maybe a problem with the optical drives? What is the power supply?

Did you check to make sure the bios boot virus protection is disabled?
