CPU Fan/Heatsink Trouble

Hi guys,

I'm trying to install an AMD heatskink/fan. I can't seem to get the retention brackets over the module base.

This is my first time building, but is the metal rod that holds the brackets supposed to bent? On my heatskink/fan, it bends in towards the middle from the outsides.

Kind of hard to explain. Any help appreciated!

Ah, I've managedto do it now. Just took a little force to get the clip in place.

The only thing is, I can't turn the retention bracket to twist it in place? It just doesn't seem to want to turn?

Which exact processor? Retail boxed AMD heatsink or aftermarket?
