How many watts is enough???
I am building a PC and would like to know how good of a psu I should get so that I still have room to upgrade?
I am using a 2.2ghz Athlon proc., Asus mobo, and I plan on buying a decent video card. |

I would think 450 *quality* watts is enough, provided you are not going with SLI/CF. Antec, FSP, Sparkle, are some quality ones, to name a few.

Just make sure you get a reliable brand (Antec, Thermaltake, Sparkle, etc.) and it has more than 450 watts. Also make sure it has the ATX12V cable, SATA power connectors, and is SLI Certified if that is what you want to upgrade to in the future.

Agreed with the 450W mentioned above, based on the info provided. Power supplies are kinda like hard drives in that you can out grow them. The key, as indicated above, is to know what you may want to go to in the future. If you think you'll be loading things up, like wth SLI and 6 hard drives or the like in the future, plan for it. If not, a 450 should be just fine.
