New Build...Sorta
Okay, I am most likely not going to build this exact system but I am just listing some good stuff and later will decide which of it I can afford..
So anyway, heres the stuff: -Some undecided tower -AMD FX-62 processor - ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131011 -2GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS 240-pin DDR2 800 ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145590 -2 74GB raptors (for RAID 0) -2 GeForce 7950G2X video cards (quad Sli?) - PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 1KW-Quad SLI PSU Other parts I have already. So do you guys have and suggestions or comments or anything? Also, Should I wait for this "conroe" stuff and go with Intel? or would it not matter much whether i went with the amd AM2 or intels conroe?

I would wait for the conroes, every review I have seen has them blowing the AMD's out of the water across the board.

When will the core 2 duos be coming out? I heard that it will be at the end of the month but i duno if its exactly a reputable source (another forum). Also, which will be the top of the line intel? the Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800?

Yes, the Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 will be the top of the line, and all the articles that I have seen lately say the 27th for the release date.

Yeah, that's right. Supposedly Intel starting yelling at retailers selling their shipments before the 27th or taking pre-orders...

apparently you can buy the E6700, which is about half the price of the extreme model, for a tiny decreace in performance, yet still knocks the socks off the fx-62
