Cool First ever build

Hey guys,

I want to try and build my own PC (just the tower of course) so i went on the internet and looked around, i fetched a few parts that i think will work together and yet work well.

I attached it into an Excel spread sheet.
Will all of this be compatibile and work well?

Thanks.

This file is not a valid archive file....

Can you copy & paste the parts list?

Oh and how would i fit 8 channel sound on the back? it appears to only have 3 sockets.

Its amazing how many problems ZIP files have.
Or do you want it pasted?

Your list needs a bit of work.

I can't say I've ever heard of Sansun PSUs. I would switch it to an Antec. This is a good choice: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/90618

ECS is a terrible quality manufacturer. For an excellent 939 board, go with the Asus A8N5X.

Switch the hard drive to the same one with a 16MB cache instead of 8.

Get the 1GB of ram in a 2x512 kit. Dual channeling will give a performance boost.

Your video card will not work because it is AGP and new motherboards, such as the Asus I recommended, use PCI-E. If this is an office type machine, the Radeon X550 is a good budget card. If you are gaming, look at the X800 line and higher.

No need for the network card, the motherboard has a gigabit NIC integrated.

That's a much improved list.

Consider getting Corsiar Value Select memory, it will save you a few quid over the premium OCZ memory that's only an improvement if you're an overclocker.
