First build.. suggestions?
Here are the specifications of the new computer I plan on building. Could anyone tell me if these are right for what I plan on doing or if I could get cheaper parts? I hope to not pay more than $650 for the box (Currently configured at about $630). I plan on doing some moderate gaming: Counter-Strike:Source, Half Life 2, and maybe Battlefield 2. I also plan on doing some photo editing.
Anyway, here is what I put together so far: antec case with 450watt power supply seagate barracuda 120gb 7200rpm sata150 hard drive msi k8n neo4-f socket 939 nvidia nforce4 atx amd motherboard bfg tech gefoce 7300gs 256mb gddr2 pci-e x16 corsair valueselect 1gb 2x512mb 184-ping ddr400 amd athlon 64 3200+ venice core socket 939 microsoft windows xp pro I also had one question about bios. Does the bios setup utility automatically have default settings based on the components I have, meaning I wouldn't have to edit many settings at all? This worries me as I am worried on putting a wrong setting somewhere. I don't plan on really OCing anything. Last edited by ryan126; 07-25-2006 at 08:21 PM. |
