Experience Needed.

Ive got an Asus M2N32 Mobo
OCZ DDR2 PC2 7900 Ram 2 gig.
AM2 3500 CPU

I put these all together with a 6600 Gefore (dont laugh its getting upgraded soon) and a 350 crappy PSU (also being upgraded later this week). On first power up it started up Fine. On second power up it wouldnt even turn on, No fan no led nada.

Im not experienced with diagnosing advanced PC problems so i searched the net some, To make a long story short ive tried reseting the CMOS with jumper and with the battery method. No luck.

On another forum a guy said i prolly have a bad peice of hardware thats causing this. If i had a spare AM2 rig sitting around i would test components in that but as such im left scraching my head.

What should i do here?

What brand PSU is that? I wouldn't be suprised if it conked out after the first boot. 350W is a bit on the light side (especially if you want to upgrade the video card). Make sure you get something quality from Antec, FSP Forton, to name a few.

What do the specs of the working PC look like? It's possible that the non-working one has higher power demands and the PSU can't handle it, but it can handle a lighter load.

If that PSU is running the same card in another PCI-E board, it will run it in the new board.

Thanks glc i tried those methods first, Without another rig to test these in im stuck without knowing which is bad. I might try taking the peices to compusa and have the guys there test the peices, Or maybe ill just RMA them all and start fresh.
