USB's not working - New Build

Hi all. I finished my first new build today, as per my signature. I have one problem, the USB ports are not working at all. I have checked the connections and they were fine. I spent some time on the phone with thech support at ASUS and the first guy I talked to said it was a software issue he wanted me to uninstall the USB's from the device manager, then reboot and let windows pick them up again using the boot disk. We got disconnected on the phone somehow. SO, I called back, the second guy said it was a hardware issue. This was before I explained to him that I had already talked to the first guy. He wanted me to send my motherboard back so they could swap it out for another one. I have heard that alot lately, and I have a hard time beleiving that these things are bad knowing that machines are putting them together. What a bunch of punks! And they were rude too, like they needed some sleep or something.

Anyway, does anyone have any idea what might cause this? I made sure that the controllers were enabled in the BIOS. That is a positive.
As a last resort, I will send it back if need be. I just wanted to check with the community here and see if anyone had any good ideas.

Thanks
