Power Supply Problems

I am getting the ASPIRE X-Navigator ATXA9NW-AL/500... it says it has 6x peripheral power cables... i think those are the 4 pin but am not completely sure.... the psu only has six, but i have four fans, 2 drives, a hard drive, and the cpu fan. the case also has a fan controller. are there power supply cables coming from the fan controller??? also if the fans are hooked up to the fan controller, do they automatcally change speed as well as manually, or only manually.. thanks

Don't use that power supply, ASPIRE make very poor quality units, and it would be a mistake to risk your components with one.

Check out this thread for the top brands (in blue), and get one of those. Let us know what components you have, and we can recommend a specific one.

Peripheral cables are the regular 4pin molex connections.

Your CPU fan will connect to the motherboard. The three drives can be plugged in seperately. For the case fans, you can daisy-chain 2 of them from one plug. You will have enough.

The fan controller should have connections for your fans.

I agree with the others though, don't use the power supply in the case. Aspire PSUs are junk. Replace it with one from the list in the link provided earlier.
