Yes, I *think* you can use it as an AP (access point) - but I can't confirm for sure.

that is simply AMAZING. No need to spend $50-80 for a router, and has all the expansion I think I need. AWESOME. Are there any boards similar to it that are cheaper?
man... that made my day to hear that, THX!! DarkPacMan77 |

I doubt you'll get it on anything cheaper...it's a premium feature on a premium board with a premium price tag. Keep in mind the computer probably has to stay on all the time for it to work.

yea, for it to work, the mobo has to have power. However...that is no problem. Whenever I have routed any wireless connection and USED it the main PC was on anyways...no biggie.
and yea... i realize it is a premium feature. I really want that board, it is very top-of-the-line and I found it for $230 !!! How long do you think it will be in production? Most motherboards I have seen have stayed in production for atleast a year and a half...but new is the new thing... |

Who knows...6 months from now, things could be a whole new story. You'll have to wait and see.

yea, i will pay up to 300 for a good mobo like that one, as long as it has the wireless feature. I don't care so much about price really, this is a long term project (as it is turning out).
