Random build idea
Ok, I'm fairly new to cpu builds, doing research. To save money, is it possible to install and boot my current hard drive in a new build cpu? I assume the OS has to recognize the processor, memory ect. I'm just checking to see if I could save money and not have to buy a new OS and productivity software.

You can but you probably have to run the Windows "REPAIR" option. Here is how:
