Quick BIOS question. (I am a n00b)

I have all my computer parts from Newegg and I want to configure my BIOS onscreen. (My motherboard doesn't use all those annoying jumpers)

Do I have to fully assemble my Drive, HDD, Video Card, and other stuff to get to my BIOS screen?

My motherboard is the ASUS A8N32-SLI DELUXE.

You'll need the video card to see anything, but you don't need to install the hard drive or any other drives yet.

All you need is to hookup up are the bare essentials like the PSU, motherboard, memory, video, CPU, monitor, and keyboard.

I love you guys, thanks.

If you ever need a hug just PM me and i'll schedule an appointment.

OH, and another quick question.

I have an AMD X2 4400+ in my computer right now... What would be my processor speed? 2.2 Ghz or 4.4Ghz in the BIOS?

The X2 4400+ operates at 2.2 GHz, remember the number in the name doesn't always correspond to the actual operating frequency.

The + number is just a relative (to other AMDs) performance indicator.

You don't need to tell it what speed to run at. It'll automatically set that for you.

No need to "punch in" anything. Your bios should automatically recognize the cpu you've installed. If it doesn't or recognizes it incorrectly, you may need a bios update. Check back here if that happens.

Why do you need a friend when you have that nice computer system to occupy your time already?
