Freezing During post (plz help!)

OK i am having problems with my computer,

CPU Intel 2.8
Jetway Gt775 SLI
1gig DDR2 Ram
EVGA 512 PCIx16 GFX card

Every time i try to boot up my computer i either:
1. Just get a blinking light on monitor, everything is running but POST will not begin
2. I get through POST, then it brings up a "No PS/2 Mouse Error, press Del to enter setup f1 to continue"

When i get error 2 i will try to enter BIOS to set it up to not try and find a PS/2 Mouse it wont go any farther, it freezes up right there. It does the same if i press F1.

I have replaced the Motherboard and CPU. I have tried booting up with nothing but Barebone. and i still get no farther, i am pretty sure my CPU has fried itself again because now i cant get past the blinking orange light enless i put in a dif CPU.

I really need help, i am about to go to college and really need this computer!

What is the brand and model of the PSU and memory you have running in your system???

I'm not familiar with Jetway motherboards. But by reading the reviews on it, it doesn't look to be too good either.

Offbrand PSUs are generally bad news. I suggest swapping it out with one of the good ones on this list: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195

So your motherboard and your PSU sounds iffy. You can pop open the pc case and read the label on the PSU. Let us know what is the brand and model.

I would be more then happy to tell you the brand, but what im tryin to tell you is that there is no actual brand name or model # on it... and actually if i remember correctly i paid like $20 for it, but the only thing it says is ATX switching Power Supply

... that doesn't sound too good. I would replace immediately then. The PSU may not even be ATX 2.x, have enough "JUICE", or the features required to run your setup. And even if it does, bad results can happen if it dies.

Here is a good replacement that is more than adequate and will leave room for future upgrades too.

Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply

Im not sure about the memory. You motherboard is an offbrand too, or atleast I am not familiar with it. The reviews on it are very mixed. Maybe some else will input on this.

Your PSU should definately be replaced first. If that doesn't solve your problem, we will look into other possibilities.

There is no reason why your CPU would fry unless your PSU is bad or you are not installing it properly with the heatsink/fan giving it proper cooling.
