Bios

I just finished putting together my first computer, it turns on fine.. but the BIOS is different from what i expected. It tells me to hit crtl+a at startup, and gives me these options, I don't remeber them too well..
Quote:
" " mirrroring for performance
" " mirroring for reliability
JBOD for mirroring (something along those lines)
delete raid portion data
delete all raid portion data
(below it had some information, when i clicked the first three options it would make a big letter and a small letter in the information)
Quote:
| Master drive: WE"31231" SATA

| Slave drive: N/A
When I attempted to install windows, it said I didnt have a hard drive, when at startup it listed that I did.. (probaly due to bios).

Gigabyte K8 Triton (GA-K8U-939)/ SATA Western Digital Cavier 200 GB (250 according to my computer >.>) 1GB Dual Channel DDR400 / Athalon 64 3500+/ AGP x850.

I read somewhere that the bios key is supposed to be DEL for gigabyte boards.. but I broke my only keyboard that wasnt USB, and now i have to go get a new one.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Thats the raid BIOS you are in there. It's still DEL for the computer BIOS, I just can't remember if it's right before the raid BIOS or riight after..

Yes a USB converter should work for you. You mean a USB to PS2 converter right?

Yea, a USB - PS2..

I attempted to use a USB - PS2 for a keyboard, it didnt work.
I checked it, and nothing seems to be wrong with the metal points in the converter, and the keyboard works.

Any way to fix this? After I broke my PS2 keyboard i can't seem to find another.

Not all converters work with all devices. You should be able to find a cheap PS/2 keyboard somewhere - or even borrow one just to get into the bios and make sure legacy USB is enabled. The last PS/2 keyboard I bought cost me 10 bucks.

Sometimes a usb keyboard will not work untill you are fully booted into windows unless that legacy usb thing is enabled in the BIOS.
