Frist build, please help an idiot :P

I posted here before, trying to find out if it was worth it to make a custom pc, turns out it was.
I don't know much about the parts what makes part A better then part B and such. Just went by from what I read on these forums and advice from friends.
I want this build to be under 1.25k and I need a somewhat large monitor because I play poker and would like to fit many tables on one screen.

so far I got this, and was wondering if it was good or not? If there are cheaper/better alternatives for the parts I am buyign I am stoked to hear them.
Again I woudl like to thank everyone for reading this and helping me.

Also, please tell me if I am missing something, and do I need a sound card??

Everything looks pretty good. You forgot the video card though. The motherboard doesn't have integrated video so you will need to buy a PCI-E video card of your choice.

What is this computer going to be used for? If it is just used mainly for online poker and some light computer work (internet surfing, downloading, office work, emailing, and etc.) you probably could save some money and cut back on the memory to 1GB and go with a cheaper processor.

Here is a good 1GB (2 X 512mb) kit for you if you decide to cut back:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145450

You see, with the extra money you save, it could go toward a DUAL screen setup so you can fit even more poker tables on both screens.

The motherboard has built in sound. I am wondering with that video card if the power supply will be big enough?

1GB of memory should be more than you need

The onboard sound is more than enough.

Here is a good LCD display that the same size and even cheaper than the Samsung one you listed, plus you don't have to wait for a rebate like the Samsung one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824014105

The video card you have a pretty nice too. May be a little overboard considering your use. But hey, if you like it why not? And yes, your Power Supply is enough to run that setup. The card's requirement is a minimum of 350w, and 400w if your planning to run in SLI mode. (According to EVGA's website: http://www.evga.com/products/moreinf...256-P2-N553-AX).

About the LCD display, the samsung is a good brand i think and they make good monitors is it woth paying less $ but for a lesser namebrand?

again thank you all

I will be using this PC for poker, but the program i use for analyzing and such has a very large database and it requires a lot of memory. Plus I would like to ocasionally play new games on it, will 1gig of ram be enough for that?

Also, i was thinking about getting dual monitors, would this video card support it?

The BenQ is a decent brand too. If you like the Samsung then get that one. You won't go wrong with either one.

The video card looks like it does support dual screens. It was two DVI ports.

1GB of memory should be enough.

You may want more HDD space though. 250GB for only a little more...

If you can swing the extra cash, go for 2 gigs. Shouldn't have to worry about a memory shortage that way.

The 7600GT OC does have 2 DVI ports with two DVI-VGA adaptors.
