What do you think of this setup?
I have put together a setup for a semi-budget pc.. what do you think?
DVD-Burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106019 Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119068 Hard-drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144118 Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131569 Video-Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150130 Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103516 Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145416 Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103539 I think I got everything I need.. but if you can suggest something better for about the same price please let me know. The comp will be used mainly for browsing the internet, checking emails, maybe a little video editing, and umm that's about it.. Thanks |

Stick with the Asus - the DFI's are very fussy and are for the hardcore overclockers and tweakers. Get a SATA hard drive, not IDE. Get a dual channel ram kit, not a single module, and XMS is not necessary. The video card is overkill unless you are gaming.

Looks like a pretty good budget system to me. Just one peace of advice. Get the ASUS, not the DFI. Those DFI boards are designed for overlockers and other experts. They're rather picky about hardware. Expecally about RAM. They hate Corsair.
