Media test failure

on first power up i am getting a media test failure. can someone help me out?

Did you just install or swap out a HDD? If so...

Double check and make sure your drives are jumpered correctly.

Try clearing your CMOS/BIOS via the jumpers on the motherboard.

This error could also occur if you have a bad partition. If so you may have to repartition your hard drive.

If that doesn't work, download the HDD manufacturer's HDD utility and run a test on the HDD and see if the HDD is faulty.

That is normal on first powerup because you don't have any bootable devices - and it's going down the list and trying to boot from the network.
