Motherboard is Socket AM2, your processor is Socket 939. The RAM you chose is DDR 400, you need DDR2 800. Don't buy that CPU cooler, one is included with the processor. You won't be needing that ethernet card either, the motherboard has it included.
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103735 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145566 I suggest this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131022 For the video card, look at this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130017 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814133150. That NEC burner does not come with any burning software.
Get the retail version, or get a Liteon, thier OEMs come with Nero and PowerDVD. Don't get an aftermarket CPU fan/heatsink unit. It will void your processor warranty. The stock unit will be quite a bit better than the one you linked anyway. Case/power supply: The Antec Sonata II would be good for a non-sli AMD build. Avoid the cases with a lot of fancy lights, windows and other eye candy features. The power supplies in them are almost always generic junk that won't even start the computer the first time in a lot of cases. Right now the new Intel Core 2 Duo processors are way better than anything AMD has on the market. If your budget allows it, that is the way to go. I would stay away from the AM2 processors, and motherboards, they are having a lot of issues with things like RAM compatibility and getting the RAM to operate at the rated speeds. They don't have much if any performance advantage over the equivalent socket 939 models and are quite a bit more expensive and need DDR2-800 ram which is pretty expensive too. For the OS, Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2 OEM will be fine unless you need some specific feature of XP Pro or want the Media Center Edition. That's not a real good hard drive either. Look at the Seagate or Western Digital 7200 RPM 16Mb cache models. About 250Gb is the best price/size right now.

Well you need a motherboard that is Socket LGA775 with the 965P or 975X chipset. Also, you selected the Pentium D 805 processor, I recommend, if you can fit it in your budget, you get the Intel Core 2 Duo e6300.
