that is the case and motherboard I have been contemplating for an hour or so now. I have some extra fans so replacing/adding any will not be a problem. I do not know what RAID is, but supposed I need to know because this is not RAID compatible. It looks like it has everything I need for a good single-GPU setup. I planned on getting an ati x1900xtx for it. I need to know if this is worth my time or not. I know I should replace the power supply, and due to lack of space, I have found a good 550W modular seclective PSU for $75 i think that will do just fine. What precautions other than what I have mentioned should be taken if I get this kit? Moreover, is it worth my money? thanks in advance |

RAID stands for
Redundant Array of Independant Disks it basicaly allows you to save data in a more safe way, some examples are: Copying the same file to two disks Splitting the file into parts and saving differant parts on differant disks It basicaly means that after a Hard Drive failure you don't loose all your data, it can pretty much all be recovered. The downside is that you need twice the amount of drives so it can get expensive, and halves your capacity. |

Here is a good article about RAID: http://www.pcmech.com/show/harddrive/296/
Generally RAID is not a good option for normal computer users. |

That looks like a microATX case and board...that will seriously limit upgrades and such. I'm not a huge fan of barebones myself, I'd much rather pick the parts out.
What power supply did you pick?

Case is too small for good cooling and that's only a 300w power supply. That would be an excellent barebones for an office computer, not a gamer.
