Support Dual-Channel DDR400
can anyone tell me, if my motherboard states that it supports" Dual-Channel DDR400", does that mean that I have to have 2 sticks or memory, or can I go with what I have only 1 stick?

It doesn't mean that you cannot use 1 stick of memory, just that you'd be getting a small speed boost by using two sticks running in dual channel.
