Everything looks good to me.

One thing though. The board needs the 24-pin main PSU connector + the 8-pin EPS12V (2 x 4-pin ATX 12V) power connector.

The current PSU you have listed only has 1 ATX12V connector.

Here is a good alternative:

Antec TruePower 2.0 TP2-550 EPS12V ATX12V 550W Power Supply 115/230 V UL, TUV, CB, FCC CLASS B, CUL - Retail

That motherboard is not a good choice as far as bang/buck goes. Youd be better off with a Intel BadAxe rev.304 975x, Asus p5wdh, or if your not looking at any of the wifi or dual card capabilities, A normal Asus P5B or Gigabyte DS3 or DS4 would be a much much better idea.

Go for a 250gb. Very little price difference between the two versions, and trust me its worth it.

Btw E6600 is being a bit MIA. But Id suggest you not buy from newegg when it does come in stock. Horrible price gouging. Id suggest www.tankguys.com or www.zipzoomfly.com instead.

Another good choice on the psu if you can bump up a few bucks is this one:

This is the suggested minimum hardware setup for Oblivion:

* 3 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
* 1 GB System RAM
* ATI X800 series, Nvidia GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card

So the 7600GT should be able to handle it okay. Maybe not at the highest settings though.

it will be better than not being able to play it at all, like on my current computer...

What about this motherboard, Intel BOXD975XBXLKR. I was looking into overclocking one day in the not so distant future to see what the core 2 can do.( just to do it, maybe not for keeps just to see what i can get it to do) Or stick with the asus i have at the top?

Well I would realllly try to get that asus p5wdh over the p5b deluxe you currently have. For 10 bucks more it is a MUCH better choice. However, p5b deluxe will be fine as long as you dont plan on a crossfire setup in the future. Its not a bad board, p5b deluxe is actually quite good, but the price doesnt justify. If I had to choose, I would choose the Intel Bad axe. It is not reasonable to pay such a high price for a 965 board, and especially one that doesnt do anything special.

Badaxe is somewhat overclockable. I say somewhat because inorder to unlock the full oc features you need to do a small modification on the motherboard. So keep that in Mind when your making you choice.

Either board is good.

I don't think you can overclock with Intel boards though...

Yup and this is still true with the badaxe. However there is a exception. If you do a quick circuit mod on the motherboard, full overclocking features are unvieled. However this isnt something that should be the reason you look at **or should** be doing when buying this board.

P5wdh deluxe should be in stock very soon. If you can wait that would be good as your money will be better spent, otherwise go for p5b deluxe or intelbadaxe.
If you really have no use for the special wi-fi or other features that the deluxe version offers I would suggest the normal P5B over it.

Well i ordered it all last night. By some stroke of luck as i got on to check the forums and such newegg got the e6600 in stock. Now i play the waiting game. I opted for the ASUS P5W DH DELUXE as was suggested by Mr. Ferrari. 10$ more and has a remote? sounds cool enough for me

The only thing i am worried about is installing windows.(i know kinda silly but that is all i really dont know. Hardware wise i am good to go thanks to the forums and myself) How do i go about doing this? And how big should i make the partition for it?

Just go into the CMOS/BIOS setup and set the CD/DVD drive as the first boot device.

Pop in the OS CD and boot from it to run the OS installation.

You can create a small partition for the OS and any other applications you want to install. I usually create a 10 to 20 GB partition for this purpose.

Probably.
If not just grab what you need at Radio Shack, Best Buy, or whatever retail place is close by.

No. Just set the DVD as the first boot device in the BIOS, stick the WinXP CD in the drive and Save and Exit the BIOS. The computer will reboot and the installation process will begin.

There should be a bracket which (in my case) came preattached with thumbscrews on where the psu should be. All you do is remove that bracket and attach it to the psu, the attach the bracket to the holes in the psu bay. Using the screws which came with your psu.

Look at the 5th from last pic. See that thing where the psu opening is? With 4 small thumb screws on it? Thats your psu bracket. Remove the thumbscrews, Reattach bracket with the thumbscrews onto the psu, and then insert the psu into the bay, and use the screws that came in the Powersupply package to fix the bracket into the case itself.

The temp readings of zero and 127C aren't real, they are probably disconnected sensors. If something was 127C the computer wouldn't be on long.
