Looks good, why not go with a Crossfire board incase you ever want to go SLI...

Any reason your spending so much on the processor (especially a single core one) whereas you can get way better performance, and with a dual core, for half the price? Also the type of work that it seems your doing would be more comfortable with a intel system vs. a amd system.

I really suggest you look into core 2 duo. However its your system and you decide what to do with it.

I'd get a X2 4800+ Toledo at half the price of that FX-57.

I'm not sure about that video card. Pretty expensive for only 128mb. You can get a 256mb card for half the price. Look at the 7900gt. Also, how about an Intel Core 2 Duo build?

Crossfire is ATI technology, SLI is Nvidia technology.

The card he picked is a workstation card...note, this is NOT a gaming card, it's for AutoCAD and such. Also, it's pointless to get a SLI board if you're going with a ATI card, or a workstation card for that matter.

I'm new to the new tech so that is why I picked what I did... So this way you can tell me what needs to be changed... Which video card will be good for gaming and editing (photo,film)... I'm going to make changes to the processor then will post which I picked....

The case and the OS are good choices.

Looks pretty good to me.

Instead of the video card you picked, go with this one (same price as the Albatron you picked out but better quality):

eVGA 256-P2-N564-AX Geforce 7900GT KO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130015
$283.99 ($253.99 after $30.00 Mail-In Rebate)

And the optical drive you picked is good, but take a look at this one:

LITE-ON Black 16X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 16X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 5X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2M Cache ATAPI/E-IDE DVD Burner W/ LightScribe - OEM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106019
$31.99

I going to purchase the two Items you recommend.. but is the HD compatible? It says it is a ATA 150, but the board calls for ATA100.. If I need something better to do what I'm going to do than which HD and if another board which one would fit THNX

Your board has support for both ATA and SATA drives.

The SATA controllers on your board tranfers at 3 Gb/s. The HDD you picked will work fine.

The one that comes with the CPU will be sufficient.

Yep, use the thermal pad that already comes pre-applied on your stock heatsink. If you use some aftermarket product, it will void the warranty on the CPU.
