Why do you want watercooling?

It is really not necessary. Just use the heatsink/fan that comes with the retail boxed processor as to not void the warranty.

SATA I operates at 1.5 Gb/s whereas SATA II operates at 3.0 Gb/s. So essentially it is twice as fast.

The real world difference between SATA 1.5Gb/s and SATA 3.0Gb/s is nil. That speed is just the therotical burst (not sustained) interface speed. There's no way the hard drive can read/write data off/to the platters anywhere near that speed. SATA 3.0Gb/s drives are backwards compatible with SATA 1.5Gb/s controllers, and vice versa.

True, it is just theoretically faster.

people want watercooling for one or both of two reasons

1.) it looks cool

2.) mad overclocking

I know that.

I just wanted to know why he wanted that. Sometimes, it is not necessary. Just because something looks cool, doesn't mean that it is right for you.
