main Board

Hey Guys,

I was looking at this board Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 on www.komplett.ie which said it supports alot of processors including pentium d 3.4 both when i checked the manufactorers site they only mentioned core duo support for the board. Can anyone shed any light on the matter, thanks

Also the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 located at http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=323507.
that board supports sli, but not in stock for another while do you think id be better off waiting for it even tho i may not even get a 2nd cross fire card in the future due to price.

do you think this is a decent power supply to go with the DS3 board. http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=320546?

thanks
mark

Download the manual for the motherboard here: http://america.giga-byte.com/FileLis...965p-ds3_e.pdf

Here is the CPUs the board (the GA-965P-DS3) supports:

Supports LGA775 Intel® CoreTM 2 Extreme / CoreTM 2 Duo / Pentium® Processor
Extreme Edition / Pentium® D / Pentium® 4

If you want a Crossfire setup make sure you get a certified PSU from this list: http://www.ati.com/technology/crossf...dyourown2.html

Otherwise just get a good ATX 2.x PSU with about 450w of power. Here is a list of good and bad ones to watch out for: http://www.forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195
