CPU or More Ram

i was planning on uprading some components ethier my cpu or ram, what would you guys reccomned for added preformance?

Add more memory. That is the best upgrade you can give your system.

what are some of the best gaming memory i can get for around 100 bucks, 1(2 x 512) gig or hiher would be nice.

Don't invite trouble.
2 gigs will be it since you have to factor in the memory on your video cards.
XP has limits in that regard.
As for what to buy, unless you intend to replace the Patriot ram the new ram had better match it.
There would be no point in getting over clocking ram for one dual channel if the other dual channel is going to choke.

im not sure what you mean pam, is what i sould do is just buy the same type of memory? or replace my memory entirely? also at the moment i'm not ovclocking my memory, nor do i even know how to overclock/tweak it.

I thought you meant to get high-end gaming ram for overclocking.
If you don't then just get 2 sticks of the same kind you already have and make sure you check the motherboard manual about how ram the will behave.
Some boards will down clock all the ram to 333 (for example) if all the slots are filled.

Just get another set of Patriot memory modules.

What everyone else is trying to say is don't mix different brands because sometimes it causes the system to become unstable.
