this just come out new mac how about this one ?


MAC PRO



Suggested configuration:

1.33GHz dual independent frontside buses

1GB memory (667MHz DDR2 fully-buffered DIMM ECC)

NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics with 256MB memory

250GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s 7200-rpm hard drive1

16x double-layer SuperDrive (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)

$ 2499.00 Without a monitor and no wireless connect

Not really. A 7300 is very weak for a gaming card. We can help you configure a PC that will perform much better in games for a lot less money.

I don't want this to turn into a Mac vs PC thread, but the Mac Pro is not designed to be a gaming machine. As a general computer for multitasking it is powerful, but you could build a pure gaming box for less.

For high end stuff like video rendering or major audio work these new Mac Pros look like they fly and are pretty good deals, but they arn't gaming systems. Just not optimized for that.

the quad proc wouldn't be taken advantage at all for gaming, with the Mac Pro
