Ok...............Somethin wierd is goin on with this, I have looked at various topics in the forum but none seem to be helping... But here is an explanation:
When the computer starts : --On the first screen it searches for IDE connections and my hardrive comes up --On the second screen it searchest for master & slave on primary connections & secondary (SATA?) . On that screen it then detects the CD/DVD drive I have the Hard drive hooked up to IDE2 and CD/DVD on IDE1 It seems like which ever one is connected to IDE1 is the one that will be shown in the primary and the secondary never is detected. BUT If I switch the IDE connectors then it'll boot off the one in the IDE2 so if the Hard drive is in IDE2 it'll boot off the hard drive and the error will be NTLDR is missing, if the IDE2 is connected to the CD/DVD it'l boot from the CD but I cant install windows because it says there is no hard drive. They are still being detected but somethin is just wrong and I cant pinpoint it. This might be confusing.... but if neone has ne advice please help!!!!!

First things first. What are the specs of your system?
