First Build
I've decided to build my next computer myself. This will be my first time attempting this, and it will be for online and offline gaming. The computer will be sharing the modem that this computer is using, and it will be the second computer of this household. That's all I can think to mention, and well I'm looking for a greenlight or suggestions from the helpful members of this forum.
These are the parts I have in mind. Not so new

Do you plan on going Sli? If you do, I'd wait for the newer nVidia 5xx chipsets to come out for Intel. If not, you can go with an Intel BadAxe rev. 305 motherboard or an Asus P5W DH (hard to find). Drop the ethernet card. Two come onboard the motherboard. Look at Benq, ViewSonic, Samsung, Acer, etc. for monitors.

-Beautiful case
-Intel +nforce4=no, Pick a intel chipset. -Get one of the Seagate 7200.10 drives. I highly suggest 250gb as the price difference is minimal and your getting much more -Use onboard sound unless your willing to dish out 100 bucks. -I suggest the X1900XT over the 7900GT. Will make 7900gt cry in fear and costs only a few bucks more. Plus more features and better IQ (picture quality) -Get the Samsung 930B instead.

Ok, I ended up going with the SAPPHIRE 100150SR Radeon X1900XTX 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card over the 7900gt.
I was wondering though if my PSU choice was still good enough to power this card along with the rest of my system. Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102672 PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103932 |
