Emachine trouble
i was playing world of warcraft then one second later my screen started to show wavey multiple colors then just shut off. when i went to go back and turn it on its starts to turn on for one second then shuts off. im thinking this right now
1. my computer overheated and something broke 2. my PSU craped out b/c i heard emachines do that 3. my PSU craped out and took along my mobo or something. my emachine was 2 years old when it died and its a W1640 model onboard graphics plz i need some suggestions THE COMPUTER IS MY SIGNATURE IS NOT MY EMACHINE |

It most likely is the PSU, your right they are not that good.
I don't want to dampen your day but it is very likely to have done motherboard damage therefore before splashing out on a new PSU, have you got a spare you can swap in to test with?

i hope my PSU didn't take out any other parts but at least i get to salvage my ram and my HD

Better leave hers alone or you may have 2 dead computers on your hands.

Might not be the same configuration PSU. If you do buy a new PSU, try to spend more than 9.99. Remember the saying.......................................................

I know not to buy a cheap PSU. but im not going to buy a new psu for my emachine cuz im going to build a new computer this winter.
I Think im going to go with the risk and put my sister's psu in my emachine and boot it up. if it does hurt something it probably be only my motherboard but that might be broken already |
