DVD drive not working
I recently installed a DVDdrive in a new build. The drive had been working fine. Now the power light is on but it is not detected and it will not respond to commands to open. I have tried various jumper settings for the cable, but am confused because it is the same configuration that I used successfully for 2years. I just placed all components in a new case. Same MB and everything. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Asus 8N MB, Athlon 64 3200, 2G 400 mhz Ram, DVD drive NEC, 6800GT Video, 450W PS, Creative CDROM,
