I would suggest the X2. If he doesnt wanna spend extra $$ on the 4200 why not the 3800? Performance difference will be minimal...

I would personally pick the asus m2n-e. MSI is a pretty decent manufacturer, but it would be wiser to go with something asus with such a sensitive platform.

That psu is also good. But this one: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=PS-...a9cc771c8ad72# is MUCH better for the same price.

Otherwise build looks good..

or should i just go with Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 185.00 vs amd4200 189.00 which one is better

Yes c2d > 4200.

For budget build I would suggest the Asus P5B coupled with a E6300. Keep the same ram.
