No offense, but the OS and a high end Video card will eat up most of that budget. Do you need a monitor, kbd, mouse, and speakers too? What games do you plan on playing?

you should shoot for the $800 range if you are wanting a "gamer"... even then, you would have to pinch a lot of pennies on all other parts but the Gpu to make such a system.

I don't need the monitor, keyboard and all that. Also, the video card doesn't have to be high end. Here's what I came up with so far...

Floppy-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16821103116

Mobo-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131569

Video Card-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814141018

Optical Drive-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827101131]

Ram-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145440

CPU-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103537

PSU-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104954

Any comments are welcome. If I can somehow get it to be $500 with the OS that would be great. and DarkPacman I think I saw that post somewhere to but I can't find it. Thanx

Solid start. I would save money using a simpler case and tossing that heatsink, the retail cpu includes one. Use the extra money to look for a higher end video card, such as a 7600 or X800 series.

Buy the ram now, it is going up in price daily.

On a side note, can you put a description of the item along with the links? Its helpful.

No one would expect this (coming from me) but that little Venice is a very good processor.
