Didn't you just build one in the same price range with the same parts? Change the harddrive size and what not to meet your needs. > http://www.forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=164410 >

im not sure if you are crossposting or not, but that is against forum rules if you are.

I am guessing that you are possibly trying to build one just to sell it? although you've stated elsewhere that you are a beginner builder.

You basically just built a system, I think it would be more beneficial to you if you gathered the parts, and displayed them here rather than us handing it to you. The build from the link above can be modified to fit your needs as well.

isn't $2000 cdn like #1720 us ? im not sure, someone please convert it for me.

i will be more than happy to assist you further if you bring a parts list to alter somewhat.

and answering your question about the hard drive, yes, that is a pretty good bang/buck hard drive.

250gb is the best bang/buck you will get on the market though, which will run $70-90 unless you get a really high-end one.

Even if you're keeping it, the list you used from the previous thread (in Ryan's link) is perfectly fine. Go with it and you're set.

You should really post the parts you want to use on your next build, and post links to them so people here can give you a thumbs up or other suggestions to use...

There's nothing wrong with that monitor. Acer monitors are fine.

Your hdd link is broken.

-One suggestions I could make is getting some corsair XMS2 instead of the ocz. The old gold xtc's still use revision 1 chips of the platinum series and have had major problems with some core 2 duo motherboards. Especially p965. But you are getting a 975x. I would still not trust it, albiet the corsair stuff is 100 more.

OCZ isnt a bad company for ram, they are my personal favorite. But I would wait until they can get things worked out before buying any of their ram for c2d.

PSU: Some good choices would be:
Silverstone ST50EF
Antec TP2 550W
Seasonic 500W
FSP Bluestorm 500W

Videocard:
X1900XT 512

Motherboard: Your pick, P5B, P5B Deluxe, P5WDH

What GFX the consoles use is totally different in design and performance compared to what a video card would be. You really cant nor should compare. A console is designed for gaming and therefore relies on special hardware to get that accomplished.

For the sake of answering I believe the Xbx360 uses a variant of ati's r600 and ps3 uses sony's own cell design.

This is the memory:

(maybe)Graphics card: $270
(maybe)RAM: $386
HDD: $117
CPU: $410
Moniter: $393

about $1576 cdn which is a little to high considering i need evrything from scratch

Well I am under the impression that you have a budget of 2000cdn not 1500, as the title says.

That 7900GS fine.

I highly suggest you stick to that corsair xms to gurantee no compatibility issues. If you still cant afford it I could come up with some alternitives...But I couldnt gurantee 100 percent issue free compatibility.

Otherwise all thats left is a windows copy, a motherboard, and a psu. All of which have been suggested already.

Personally, I like to put my parts inside a case. But if you are on a budget, I guess you could put them in a cardboard box

If you've built one before, you know what you need to buy. There has been plenty of advice given in this thread and your previous ones.

Post a list of the parts you want for us to critique it. As mentioned before, using the list of parts from your last build would be a great place to start.
